Equipment Development Engineer

Our client, one of the most established international brands in the Semiconductor industry, has a rare opportunity for a Equipment Development Engineer to join their growing team.

The position is be based in Boise, ID (or Lehi ,UT if preferred) and strong relocation package is provided.

Job Focus:

The Equipment Development Engineer will utilize their strong interpersonal skills to work with equipment and process engineers at the customer site and with the parent company. The engineer’s goal will be to create and execute equipment modifications to enable new or the extension of an existing equipment product life cycle.



  • Determining customer technical improvement needs and provide information to the factory to implement / modify equipment that will meet these needs
  • Improve equipment performance and productivity through customer / factory interaction
  • Support new equipment development and implementation at customer development sites
  • Provide trouble shooting recommendations, and hands-on support when necessary
  • Review documentation to assure accuracy and suggest improvements
  • Convert equipment or construct components that provide process solutions that meet the customer needs


Minimum Qualifications:

  • CVD (Chemical Vapor Disposition) experience
  • A A.S. or B.S (or equivalent) in a directly applicable technical discipline
  • Previous related thermal or plasma semi-conductor industry experience preferred
