Guest Experience Ambassador

The award-winning Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) is currently in search of Guest Experience Ambassadors to join our team. This exciting role will report directly to the Manager, Guest Experience. As part of the Guest Experience team, the Guest Experience Ambassador will provide concierge services to VCC’s guests and clients, as we work together to achieve our vision to be the global leader in outstanding venues and events.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Using your service excellence skills, you will play a critical role as VCC’s first point of contact.
  • You will ensure all guests are met with a warm and professional welcome and direction to their event space.
  • The Ambassador is committed to the safety of guests and clients and security of the facility, and as such will be responsible for maintaining awareness of suspicious activity, and redirecting or reporting persons of interest.

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • The combination of post-secondary education in Business, Hospitality, or Event Management and relevant work experience in a customer service role is considered an asset.
  • You will do everything in your role to meet or exceed client/guest expectations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly express ideas, thoughts and concepts verbally and in writing.
  • You must be physically able to stand for extended periods of time.
