Help Desk Analyst

Our client, a highly respected national company, is seeking a Help Desk Analyst to join their team.

 

Overview:

The Help Desk Analyst is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware or software for company employees at head office and remote sites.  

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Set up new users on the system
  • Action requests based on ticketing system
  • Provide technical assistance and support for queries and issues related to hardware and software
  • Assisting users in person, by phone, email, or text
  • Monitor issues and follow up with users to ensure issues have been resolved
  • Maintain daily performance of server and hardware and software
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets

 

What you bring to the table:

  • Hands-on technical experience that demonstrates the ability to effectively plan and prioritize competing deadlines and requirements
  • Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support
  • Experience in working with the fast-paced business to determine requirements and clarify processes
  • Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Active Directory, NTFS Permissions, CIFS, SMB shares
  • Experience with VPN and remote desktop
  • Experience with MS Office 
  • Working knowledge of fundamental operators of relevant software, hardware and other equipment such as windows servers and networking
  • Strong customer service and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize; attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure and occasional tight deadlines
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have access to a vehicle
