Account Executive

Our client, a highly established and respected worldwide organization in the food manufacturing industry, currently has a rare opening for an Account Executive / Account Manager to join their business development team.

This position consists of about 80% managing existing accounts and 20% obtaining new accounts.



  • Provide exceptional levels of service to existing retail and food service accounts.
  • Obtain new orders, establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential independent business customers. 
  • Submitting orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Generating revenue opportunities in existing or potential accounts to meet or exceed annual budgets.
  • Researching accounts, understanding customer short and long-term needs, and forecasting business opportunities.
  • Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and merchandising techniques.
  • Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems; develop solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Promoting company image and products at business-related events.

  • Previous sales experience building relationships (ideally within the food and/or beverage industry)

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time (mainly day trips)
