National Sales Manager

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the National Director of Sales and Strategy, the National Sales Manager is primarily responsible for providing leadership to all GBC and listed First Canadian Territory Manager’s to oversee indirect retail loan volume growth. This role is actively engaged in portfolio optimization by analyzing market trends, differentiation, and opportunities. As a member of the Mid-Management Team, the National Sales Manager will contribute to the overall success of the Bank by participating and contributing in peer meetings on sharing ideas and department collaboration. The National Sales Manager needs to be self- motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results as well as the following responsibilities that are outlined below;

  • Establish and commit to annual sales and profitability targets to support the overall annual business plan for the bank.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic department plans, tools, incentives, and reports to support operational activity.
  • Manage GBC Territory Manager efforts to direct overall growth individual territories’ business.
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, including direct reports, GBC management team, internal support areas and Territory Managers
  • Balance the Bank’s risk appetite with the need for profitable volume and growth.
  • Develop, document and implement effective sales strategies and processes in order to achieve sales targets.
  • Implement sales management tools and technology as required to support the sales team in the attainment of sales objectives.

What you Bring to the Table:

The National Sales Manager will have 3-5 years of management experience, including experience overseeing a remote team. This role requires a focus on customer service, relationship building and teamwork and must have the ability to provide unique solutions and deescalate issues.

 The following are required qualifications for the role:

  • Post-Secondary education in the field of business and finance is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of automotive, indirect lending, consumer lending, or related sales financial services is required. 
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices is required.
  • Knowledge of human resource principles and practices is required.
