Full Cycle Bookkeeper / Office Manager

Our client, an innovative promotional products supplier, has an exciting opportunity for a Full Cycle Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join their team. 

This position is open as the current incumbent is retiring after many years with the company.


  • Full cycle accounting
  • Handles A/R, manages monthly billing/invoicing, statement of accounts/collection, posting of payments, and bank deposits
  • Reconciles A/R ledger and generates Aging Report
  • Handles A/P, receives, verifies, input vendor's invoices, process payments
  • Reconciles A/P ledger and generates Aging Report
  • Ensure timely reporting and remittance for GST/PST/WCB
  • Complete bank, credit card, EFT and merchant bank reconciliations.
  • Prepares payroll and group benefits: Adjustments, submission, journal entries, analysis, & accruals
  • Handles Fixed Assets & Depreciation
  • Manages A/R A/P assistant
  • Financial Statements preparation/ Variance Analysis/ Budgeting
  • Liaise with external accountants to prepare year-end statements
  • Handles Petty Cash and replenishments
  • Other reports as may be required
  • Covers some general office administrative duties and tasks



  • Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper with full cycle experience;
  • Experience with month-end/year-end close process
  • Experience with reconciliation between bank and all related General Ledger accounts.
  • Relevant accounting studies and professional certification is an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
  • A working knowledge of automated accounting systems in general and specific experience with inventory management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Good knowledge of QuickBooks or Sage (our system is similar), Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Exceptional attention to fine detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptive to organizational and process changes
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Team player who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organization skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • High level of professionalism with integrity, good judgment and confidentiality
