Purchasing / Logistics Coordinator 

This role reports directly to (and works alongside) the VP Production & Operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is self-motivated and excited to make an impact on the sense of community, company culture, and employee well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee local and international purchases
  • Manage and oversee logistics activities such as shipment coordination with international suppliers
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
  • Sourcing of raw materials, products, and services for both Production and R&D
  • Purchase supply of materials in a cost-effective manner
  • Keep in contact with suppliers to confirm and follow up on orders
  • Ensure material is available in-house before production line require them
  • Create and receive purchase orders in ERP System (Syteline)
  • Negotiate purchasing contracts and prices
  • Develop and source new vendors to bring in products that are at the right price and right quality
  • Analyze most economical source of products (Outsource vs. In house production)

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP optimization (Syteline preferred)
  • Be able to read and understand AutoCAD / Solidworks drawings
  • Knowledge of steel, fabrication, and manufacturing
  • Negotiation and communication skills
  • Able to multitask, work under pressure and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized
  • Strong analytical skills with high critical thinking ability
  • Willingness to learn and to grow with the company
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
