Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

TPD's Client is a leading provider of battery charging solutions that improve the performance and
reliability of electric drive vehicles and industrial equipment.

This company has become the supplier of choice to many of the world’s leading manufacturers of electric golf cars, lift trucks, aerial work platforms, motorcycles and scooters, floor care machines, utility/recreational vehicles and new markets, like outdoor power equipment. 

Located in Burnaby, BC our client is looking for a skilled Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join their team long term! 

DUTIES:

  • Receives, unpacks, reprograms, tests and stores merchandise or materials
  • Organizes shipments from inventory and prepares for shipping
  • Ensures accuracy of orders
  • Verify software and algorithms for each shipment
  • Ensure shipping method is tailored to the customer’s needs – refer to picking sheets
  • Packs, crates, and ships products and materials
  • Modifies units from one version to another
  • Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner as required
  • Processes and verifies shipment against paperwork
  • Receiving incoming goods and services in ERP system
  • Performs other tasks as required

WHAT YOU NEED: 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years experience in a warehouse environment
  • Familiar with standard warehouse concepts, practices and procedures such as inventory, forklift operation, packing shipments, warehouse safety and inspection of goods for damage
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organization skills with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be able to multitask 

ASSETS:

  • Technical background (Electrical) 
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing concepts 
  • Valid forklift license 
  • Occupational First Aid Level 2 preferred
