Engineer III - Instrument & Control

TPD is looking for an Engineer III - Instrument & Control to assist one of the largest mining companies in the world with their renovation projects.  This position will primarily be focused on a facility shutdown and the construction and maintenance of the equipment.

Description of the work scope:

  • Work closely with and in support of the Project Team and Owners Team. Oversee and coordinate the contractor(s) work activities in the execution of EI&C construction, quality assurance, pre-commissioning and commissioning. Coordinate day to day work scope between other contractor teams and active operations.


Key Deliverables:

Ensure Construction Contractors execute and deliver the construction scope of work in compliance
with the following:

  • RTKC HSE standards and programs
  • RTKC Contractor Management standards
  • Construction Contract scope, schedule and cost
  • Engineering and Design specifications and quality

Support the project team in the development and execution of the following:

  • RTKC HSE and Contractor Management documentation
  • Scope of Work documents
  • Project Execution Plan documents
  • Quality Assurance/Commissioning Execution Plan documents
  • Quality Assurance/Commissioning forms and documentation
  • Construction, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Schedules

Required Education / Experience:

 

  • Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer or Equivalent Construction Experience
  • Extensive Experience in EI&C Construction, Quality Assurance, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning

Desired Skill Sets:

  • Industrial construction work management; high, medium and low voltage SWG/MCC, cabling and
  • wiring, instrumentation and control wiring, cable tray and conduit, panel wiring, instrument calibration,
  • loop verification, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills – incident management
  • Extensive EI&C construction, quality assurance, pre-commissioning and commissioning experience
  • High level of schedule development and management experience
  • Word processing, Spreadsheet management, Email management (Microsoft products)
